I’m Damone Garner (pronounced “the-mound”).
Welcome to my online portfolio where you can get to know me and my work better. Here you will find my resume and a sample functional design work that I accomplished throughout my studies in the Master of Education in Instructional Technology at the University of Tennessee.

About
This portfolio is for my IT degree and Online Teaching Certificate. In addition to this master’s program, I also have a Networking Technology degree that I received from Wake Tech in 2001.
I have over 20 years of experience at the strategic level across six functional specialties areas: (1) Strategic Policy and Planning, (2) National Security and Emergency Management (3) Public Administration and Project Management (negotiating), (4) Logistics, (5) Training and Operations (6) Leadership Development. These functional specialties have provided me with the facilitation of eLearning and curriculum development. Over the course of my career and educational achievements my expertise encompasses the ADDIE model, Learning Management System (LMS), method of instructions, team collaboration, and eLearning software programs and tools.
Additionally, I have extensive experience and comprehensive knowledge of project management, negotiation and mediation, information management, communications, mission planning coordination, methods of instructions, cultural awareness, and execution of emergency management.
Objective
My professional statement provides acumen on the pursuit to becoming an instructional designer. It also illustrates my understanding of the ever-changing instructional design and technology space. My goal is to employ my diverse background with the Department of Education as Instructional Designer. I believe my academic achievements, leadership, and professional experiences provide a solid framework to enter the field.
